The law and order policy aims to strengthen local response, specialised capability and public confidence in the justice system.

Local Police Access

  • Establish police stations in every district, including dedicated stations in identified high-need areas.

Police Capability

  • The policy proposes firearms for all police officers and specialised crime and drug units in every city.

Serious Crime

  • Stronger penalties and vehicle confiscation measures are proposed for ram raids.

Youth Rights and Responsibility

  • The policy proposes aligning serious-crime accountability with any future change to the voting age.
